Sales Script for TravelShorts Ambassadors

Introduction:

"Hi there! Can I tell something? My name is … and I am a traveler on a quest to find the best travel stories in the world.

Pause. Let them say hi, share their name,...

Then take a booklet out of your back pocket, show it and say

“This booklet here has the best stories our community has collected so far.”

Then start going through the booklet explaining the stories a bit:

“The first story is about a young man who has settled down and misses his past life as an adventurer, so on a next drive from Santa Barbara to San Francisco to visit his parents he picks up the first hitch hiker to turn this trip into an adventure.”

“The second story is about someone venturing deep into the Amazon rainforest to see a shaman and try ayahuasca - and about the beauty of random encounters.”

“The third story is written by someone out selling this booklet, which led to a romantic adventure.”

Take a little pause.

“Anyway, it would be so cool and nice of you if you bought this booklet to support our quest.”

Pause.

They will say “How much?”

You reply: “It’s a free contribution; most people give 5-10 bucks”.

We sold hundreds of booklets with this script; feel free to experiment and make it your own! The most important thing is to be friendly and have fun with it!
